Denise Jacobs is a Speaker + Author + Creativity Evangelist who speaks at web conferences and consults with tech companies worldwide. As the Founder + Chief Creativity Evangelist of The Creative Dose, she teaches techniques to make the creative process more fluid, methods for making work environments more conducive to creative productivity, and practices for sparking innovation. Working in Web Design & Development since 1997, she is an industry veteran and regarded expert on many things web. Denise is the author of The CSS Detective Guide, the premier book on troubleshooting CSS code, co-author of the Smashing Book #3: Redesign the Web and InterAct with Web Standards: A holistic guide to web design, and a nominee for .Net Magazine’s 2010 Best of the Web “Standards Champion” award. Denise has presented at events and organizations worldwide such as Automattic, FastWeb.It, Google, UX Week, FITC: Future. Innovation. Technology. Creativity., The South By Southwest Interactive (SXSWi), TEDxRheinMain, The Future of Storytelling, the BBC,  and The Future of Web Design.

From her own experience of embracing and expressing her creativity as well as helping hundreds of people do the same, she is passionate about evangelizing methods to enhance the ways we develop and execute ideas to make them tangible and meaningful. Through her work, Denise shares big concepts that challenge the status quo and lead to “ahas” that translate into immediate actions, practices, and skills to transform all aspects of people’s work lives with focused creativity.

Denise is the Founder + Chief Unicorn of Rawk The Web, an initiative to increase the numbers of visible diverse tech experts and ultimately change the face of the tech industry. She is also the Founder + Head Instigator of The Creativity (R)Evolution, a movement to spread the force of creativity around the world as a vehicle for positive change.
